Our MPT IPTV Privacy Policy

MPT IPTV is a service provided to you by Myanma Posts and Telecommunications (“MPT”, "we," or "us"). We know that you care how information about you is used and shared. This Privacy Policy explains what information of yours will be collected by us when you use MPT IPTV service, the MPT IPTV Application (“Application”), the website for MPT IPTV (iptv.mpt.com.mm) (“Website”), MPT IPTV Box (“Device”) and related services (collectively, the “Service”), and how that information will be used. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

When and what information is collected?

User-Provided Information: You provide us information about yourself, such as your name and phone number, when you register with and use the Service. If you correspond with us by phone, we may retain the content of your phone messages, your phone number and our responses.

Cookie Information: When you use the Service via the web, we may send one or more cookies - a small text file containing a string of alphanumeric characters - to your device that uniquely identifies your browser and lets us help you log in faster and enhance your navigation through the site. These cookies may store the following information:

phone number, FTTH number, network type, sign in authentication and language selection

Log File Information: Log file information is automatically reported by your browser each time you access a web page. When you register with or view the Service site, our servers automatically record certain information that your web browser sends whenever you visit any website. These server logs may include information such as your web request, Internet Protocol ("IP") address, browser type, referring / exit pages and URLs, number of clicks, domain names, landing pages, pages viewed, and other such information.

Search queries (such as what you click on or search for, and voice commands or other inputs when navigating within the MPT IPTV Box, Website or Application);

Device location, such as from IP address or Wi-Fi (“Your Device Location Information”);

Unique identifiers, such as the serial number of the MPT IPTV Box;

How you connect to the internet, such as the Wi-Fi connection you use;

What videos, stations, or programs you watch and when;

Billing Address;

Demographic Information (e.g., through registration);

Subscription Plans for MPT IPTV accounts linked to the Application;

Device type and operating system;

Connection type; and

Software.

How might we use your information

We may use the information, including Device Location, collected through the use of the Device MPT IPTV Box to:

- deliver and improve the Service;

- tailor your experience, including things like making recommendations;

- conduct analytics;

- prevent fraud;

- recommend and market products and services that may be of interest to you;

- produce data, reports and statistics which shall be anonymized or aggregated in a way that does not identify who you are; and

- undertake any other action required or permitted by any law, regulation, notification and/or regulatory authorities.

Without Your Device Location Information, we may not be able to provide access to certain services and features like regional sports programming, local weather, local programming, live local channels or other content with geographic restrictions. If you disable location tracking on your device, you acknowledge and agree that the Application/Website may determine your location, such as using your public IP address, to determine your general location for purposes of delivering services, such as the channel guide.

We may combine and use data, including Your Device Location Information collected from the Device and Application/Website, with other data as described in this MPT IPTV Privacy Policy.

Do we share your information and, if so, with whom?

We may share information collected through the Device or Service as described in this MPT IPTV Privacy Policy with:

Other companies within the MPT family of companies, including any of our affiliates (including those that may not share the MPT IPTV or MPT brands);

Vendors who perform services like: help fulfill marketing offers; provide or improve service; conduct analytics; and serve you with advertisements or marketing materials in and outside the Device and assess the effectiveness of advertising and marketing campaigns;

Programmers and networks who provide the programming that you watch through the Device; and

oThird parties for their advertising or marketing uses (including how you use the Software, Device, Your Software & Device Location Information). These third parties may also share information collected from the Software and Device with other third parties for their own advertising or marketing use. This information may include what apps are accessed; general interests (for example a sports lover); specific interests (for example a basketball fan of a specific team); and other information collected about you including Your Software and Device Location Information as described in this Policy. When we share data with third parties, we use identifiers such as device or operating system identifiers. This could include but is not limited to your Android advertising ID.

When we say “third parties” with whom we share data, we mean parties such as advertisers, programmers and networks, social media networks, analytics firms (companies that measure and analyze consumer behavior), ad networks (companies that deliver and track ads for advertisers across numerous websites, applications and devices), and other similar companies that are involved in creating and delivering advertisements.

Your information may be anonymized and used in or shared to compile aggregate reports, such as a report on how many people searched for a certain television show or reports we may sell to other companies for their own marketing, advertising or other similar uses. Since the aggregation of personal information is anonymized, the information about you being used will not identify who you are.

We may also share information to:

Respond to 199 requests and other emergencies or exigencies;

Comply with court orders and other legal process;

Enforce our agreements and protect our rights or property; and

Obtain payment for products and services including the transfer or sale of delinquent accounts to third parties for collection.

What information is not covered by this Policy?

This Policy does not apply if you access content in a third-party app from the Device. We will not see what show you watched from third-party apps. In this case, the privacy policy of the third-party app may apply.

Do you have safeguards in place to protect my information?

We work hard to protect your information. We've established electronic and administrative safeguards designed to help make the information we collect secure.

In the event of a security incident, we will provide you with notice in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.

We will keep your personally identifiable information in connection with your use of the Software and Device as long as you are a User of the Service or until it is no longer needed for business, tax or legal purposes.

What happens if there is a change in corporate ownership or to this policy?

Information about our Customers, including personally identifiable information, may be shared and transferred as part of any merger, acquisition, sale of company assets or transition of service to another provider. This also applies in the unlikely event of an insolvency, bankruptcy or receivership in which Customer’s records would be transferred to another entity as a result of such a proceeding.

We may update this MPT IPTV Policy as necessary to reflect changes we make and to satisfy legal requirements. The most recent version of the MPT IPTV Policy will always be made available through the Website/Application. If we make material changes to this Policy, we will notify you to obtain your consent.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf. Your agent will need a valid power of attorney or written permission signed by you. If the agent relies on written permission, we’ll need to verify the agent’s identity. We may also contact you directly to confirm the permission. Your authorized agent can submit your requests by calling us at 106.
